What is Ojas?
Ojas is a Sanskrit word used in the practice of Ayurveda to describe any of the following: bodily strength, energy, power, vigor, and vitality. When you’re feeling tired, depressed, worn out, and dried up, it usually means you’ve tapped out your supply of ojas.
Think of the vitality of contented children or babies. Peaceful contented young ones are so full of Ojas it nearly oozes out.
A few things things replenish it: Healthy fresh foods, ample rest and relaxation, pursuing creative activities.
What depletes it: According to Ayurveda, Ojas is mainly depleted by stress. A lot of autoimmune disorders come from depleted Ojas because of modern lifestyle.
The word “Ayurveda” means “wisdom of life.” It is a wide-ranging approach to staying healthy, preventing problems, and restoring vitality when it has declined. Check with me if you want to learn more about healing yourself or a loved one.
